Student-run record label inks first act Journal Gazette
Singer-songwriter Cassie Beer and bass player Nick Lubs performed as part of Rosalind & The Way on Thursday morning after the band was signed to record with University of Saint Francis' new record label, Marble Lounge Records.
It is the first act to be signed with the student-run label, which will produce an album with the band for release in the spring. At a morning news conference, Beer said she and the band “have already been blown away by the professionalism and the excitement and the energy of the students and the faculty.”
Marble Lounge includes students from the university's Media Entrepreneurship Training in the Arts and Music Technology programs.

Rosalind & The Way signed Thursday as the first music artist the University of Saint Francis’ student-run Marble Lounge Records label will record and release the group’s new album.
Miles Fulwider, USF music technology program director, made the announcement during an event Thursday morning in the Historic Fort Wayne Woman’s Club in the USF Business Center, 826 Ewing St.
The winner, which is lead by lead singer and guitarist Cassie Beer, was selected from among 10 finalists announced in late January. About 50 music artists and groups applied for the opportunity to be signed to the record label.
