Student-Run Record Label Names First Artist

FORT WAYNE -

The University of Saint Francis has announced the first artist for its student-run record label. Local band Rosalind & the Way will be the first to record for Marble Lounge Records and their album is set to be released in April.

The record label launched in September as part of USF's Media Entrepreneurship Training in the Arts, or META, and Music Technology programs. The band will have their music recorded by USF music technology students at USF's recording studios.

Marble Lounge Records

Media Entrepreneurship Training in the Arts (META) and the School of Creative Arts Music Technology program announce the USF’s first ever student disciplinary Record Label.

The META team focuses on the marketing and business aspects of operating a record label and producing a artist.

The Music Technology program focuses on the production and recording technologies of music, now taught in new state-of-the-art recording and performance studios at USF Downtown.

Music Technology and META’s Marble Lounge Records are pleased to announce their first ever launch party for the inaugural Marble Lunge Records artist Rosalind and the Way March 27, 2018.

Marble Lounge Records-Top 10 Winning Artist Unveiling

From Marble Lounge Records: Today marks an exciting day. We have had the opportunity to review so many wonderful musician’s work and make our top 10 selection. 

Based on that selection we evaluated the “Top 10” once again, and sent our evaluation to our industry guest Producer, Rob Mathes, for his final evaluation and selection. 

Marble Lounge records has selected our first artist that will sign with our student-run-record label. THE ARTIST UNVEILING AND SIGNING WILL HAPPEN THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8TH AT 9AM AT THE HISTORIC WOMEN'S CLUB IN THE USF BUSINESS CENTER DOWNTOWN.

Make Music Day Preview: Rosalind & The Way

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - For the weeks leading up to Make Music Day, Sara Schaefer will introduce you to some of the local bands performing on the international day. Saturday we met Cassie Beer with Rosalind & The Way.

She decided to get the 5 person band together after realizing she wanted to share her voice. "Well I had been writing songs for about a year and decided I'd try to perform them in front of actual people and not just my closet."
