Student-run record label inks first act Journal Gazette

Singer-songwriter Cassie Beer and bass player Nick Lubs performed as part of Rosalind & The Way on Thursday morning after the band was signed to record with University of Saint Francis' new record label, Marble Lounge Records.

It is the first act to be signed with the student-run label, which will produce an album with the band for release in the spring. At a morning news conference, Beer said she and the band “have already been blown away by the professionalism and the excitement and the energy of the students and the faculty.”

Marble Lounge includes students from the university's Media Entrepreneurship Training in the Arts and Music Technology programs.
